This projects objective was to find an odd building and recreate it using adobe illustrator. I chose this upside down house because it looked very interesting and odd. Using the pen tool i created shapes and filled them in with the correct values. The hardest part was not the house itself but instead the surroundings.

The basis of this project was to create a new icon for the easton area chamber of commerce. This was a group project. My group and i used the easton star from eastons handbook as our main influence.

We had to create an advertisment for the upcoming 2010 spring mayfair. On this project we had to use the pre existing logo and work with it. So in order to stay true to the logo i decided to make the whole thing simple by using silouhuettes and completmentary colors with Simple text.

Ok so the concept of this project was to create an image using multiple pics almost like a collage of photos put together to portray something else. I was in the spacey-halo mood because i had just got done playing some halo before class. So what i did was i took a picture of the earth and used that as the background and setting for the piece. I made Master Chief who is the main protagonist in the halo series, be the icon for good and an alien from the movie "alien" to represent the evil side. I also threw in some star wars and a few explosions with smoke.

This project was one of the type portaits we were to do. This one, unlike the first, was to recreate a photo of yourself using only value and no line what so ever. Using the pen tool i again, painstakingly drew all of the shapes out that were similar in value and then used the text tool to fill in these areas using the same song lyrics as the line portait. To make different values, i adjusted the leading and kerning of the text to make it appear lighter or darker.

This project consisted of 3 different type portraits. The goal for this one was to convert a picture of yourself in a type portrait consisting of just lines to recreate the picture. To do this i used a picture of myself and then used the pen tool to make the lines you see. After creating the necessary lines, i then filled them in with text. The text used here is song lyrics from the band A Day To Remember.

For this assignment the objective was to create a magazine cover that was attractive and got the attention of its targeted audience. I myself like techno music along with many other types and so i decided to do a magazine cover based on that topic. I had a friend take a photo of me from behind as i imitated a dj with his arm pointed towards a huge crowd. I then used a filter to make me completley black with neon colored out lines. I also used complementary colors to make the title stick out in yellow as "RAVE".
